Sata Jet 2000 Spray Paint Gun. This is a used paint gun that I have owned for 4 years. This paint gun still sprays great and was always thoroughly cleaned after each use. I do know that is a a 1.3 tip and the RP or reduced pressure. The Reduced Pressure guns offer so much more over the HVLP guns. I switched to this spray gun from a HVLP and was amazed at the difference.
I remember when I bought this gun it was a special limited edition that Sata done at that time. This gun was almost 700.00 when it was new.
This is one of the best clear coat guns I have ever used. I used this gun for base coats and clear coats mostly with a occasionally enamel or single stage urethane. Like I said before I always cleaned the gun immediately after use, because these things aren't cheap! I only do painting as a hobby and this gun was only used once about every 2-3 weeks.
Most of it's wear came from sitting in the gun holder at my garage. I have taken many detailed pictures to try and give you the best description of the condition, because as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. I will not sell this gun really cheap or I will just keep it, because it works fine but I don't use it that much anymore and thought I would clear out some stuff I wasn't using anymore. This cup has some scratches on the bottom of the cup and on the blue part of the handle right around the area of the digital gauge. This is where it contacted the paint stand/holder I have and these are just cosmetic and affect the use in no way. The paint gun also has some scratches on the inside which I have taken pictures of as well. The digital gauge works perfect, and I have never even had to replace the battery in it. It is easy to change the battery if you ever need, it is just a screw cap on the opposite side from the gauge and takes a watch style battery. I have shown a picture of the digital gauge working, and it is easy to read with no build up on the screen.
All of the adjustments work as they should. This gun offers a very wide spray fan that the Sata guns are known for and offers great atomization for those metallic and pearl paints. I have painted many 3 stage pearls with great success. The red plastic lid works fine and fits snug like it did when new, but it does show some wear and you might want to replace it sometime. The lids are not very high and are designed to be a disposable lid after some uses.I have taken a picture with me spraying some thinner on a cardboard box to show the wide and even spray fan pattern that it has, and to show it is operating as it should. The gun has a 1.3 fluid tip which is what I used for everything and it recommended by many paint manufacturers for the best results.
The fluid tip does have a few rough places on the bolt part where you place a wrench to remove it. I took a picture of this as well. The air cap has some discolored places inside the cap, this came from soaking my air cap in thinner. All my older spray guns I would soak the air cap in thinner until my next use, this caused discolored spots on this one.I stopped soaking it after that happened, and it hasn't ever gave any issues at all. I have a picture of that included. I sprayed a Lincoln with this gun about 2 weeks ago and the paint job looked great. This gun will only come with the spray gun and the metal cup that is attached. No external regulator, filters, or accessories are included.
I had to original box up until not long ago but have lost it. I have tried to describe this to the best of my ability and if you have any further questions feel free to message me about it.Thanks for looking and have a GREAT day!!
